Have a picky eater on your hands? Toddlers are famous for being the pickiest eaters at the dinner table. Even though your tot is refusing just about anything healthy, realize that this is only a phase. Right now your little picky eater is in a new phase of their life - growing independence. One of the ways they can control their independence is by refusing certain foods. Though this can be frustrating, there are ways to cope with this picky eating spell until it passes...and it will pass.
Create Some Fun - Make food fun by cutting weird shapes or even making smiley faces on their food.

Sneak it In - If you cannot get your picky eater to eat veggies or fruits whole, try sneaking them in by chopping them up fine or pureeing them into their favorite foods. That way they have no idea and you know they got some healthy foods into their daily diet.
Lead By Example - Your child will not eat healthy if Mommy and Daddy are junk food artists. Lead by example by eating healthy foods and omitting the junk from your diet.
Give Them Choices - Instead of forcing your little picky eater to eat peas, give them the choice of peas or carrots. Helping them feel a little more independent will help the battle of picky eating in the long run.
Don't stress if your little one still doesn't eat. When they are hungry they will eat. In the meantime as long as their weight and overall growth are healthy, then there is nothing to worry about if they decide to refuse a meal.
